I think it's more like a choaking hasard. Or contact with plastic. This was an actual train of thought for me yesterday at the coffee house:
That woman said she doesn't use plastic for food storage anymore...oh, this milk steamer is all metal...good thing we've always used metal, so we don't have to change now...plastic and steaming milk- oh, right.
